The Monument Street Residence
A ground-up shingle-style residence on a historic Concord lot, blending classic New England proportions with a thoroughly modern, light-filled interior.
Our clients had lived in Concord for years and refused to leave the town they loved — but their growing family had outgrown its antique home. They purchased a wooded lot near Monument Street and asked Winter Group to build a forever home that would feel timeless from the street and effortlessly modern within.
Working closely with the architect, we engineered a shingle-style exterior with deep eaves, cedar siding, and a standing-seam metal roof, then opened the interior into a flowing plan organized around a central stair and a great room that captures southern light all day.
The home was delivered on schedule with a fully integrated smart-home, high-performance envelope, and finish carpentry executed entirely by our in-house team.
